Twitter is thought to be testing a brand new design on its profile pages similar to that of facebook and google+.
The overhaul has appeared on a limited number of select profiles, as the microblogging site quietly tests the redesign.
Among the changes is a new wider layout, providing more rom for a 100% width photo header and a move away from the standard vertical list of tweets.
It appears that there will be greater ficus on photos, as tweets take on new boxed sizes dotted around the page in descending order from the top.
In a further change to put images and video at the heart of twitter's new look, a photo/videos count has been added alongside the tweet count.
Meanwhile, the user's image and nformation will be shifted to the left with the usual furniture of 'who to follow' and 'trends'.
News of a redesign on the horizon comes as the microblogging site announced of $645 million for 2013 last week.
Tweeter's revenue climbed 110% last year to reach $665 million, but slow growth of its user base is thought to have deterred investores.
